Socket's In-Hand Scan Cards
Turn Your Pocket PC into a High Performance Mobile Bar Code Scanner. Plug it in when you need it - pull it out when you are through. Scanning is 50 times faster and 10,000 times more accurate than manual data entry. The Class 1 laser is suitable for normal bar code scanning applications.
Socket's Type I CompactFlash card with integrated Class 2 miniature laser scanner for more demanding scanning applications. Just plug the card into your Windows Powered portable computer, launch Socket's SocketScan™ keyboard emulation software, and read bar code data into any active Windows program. Compatible with any Windows CE v2.11 or later /9X/2000/Me Pocket PC, H/PC or pen tablet with a Type I or Type II CF card slot.
SocketScan™ keyboard emulation software (included) reads bar code data into any active Windows application as if it had been typed on the keyboard. Scans bar codes from a distance of 2 to 30+ inches. And it only takes one hand! Note: Some models of the In-Hand Scan Card family offer a Class 1 laser, others offer a Class 2 laser, and others offer CMOS imaging technology. Be sure to pick a model that is appropriate for your application.

- One-hand operation improves efficiency

- Socket's SocketScan software for Windows converts scanned bar code characters into virtual keystrokes so that any Windows application treats the characters as though they were typed on a keyboard.
- SocketScan enables the creation of prefixes and suffixes, such as Tab or Carriage Return, to further eliminate key strokes in the data collection process.
- This Battery Friendly solution draws only a few milliamps of current in standby mode, extending the battery life of your Pocket PC
