Barcodes are a set of lines separated by white space that represent a string of characters and numbers.
There are several ways to create barcodes:

1) Barcode Fonts - These fonts are just like any other font in your computer. The biggest difference is that barcode fonts are usually created using Microsoft Excel and then either printed or sent to other software.

2) Barcode Images - Barcode Images can be created in many different standard formats such as
EPS, JPEG and TIF. Barcode Images are usually used in product packaging and in documents.

3) Barcode Label Printers - There are many different requirements for Barcode Labels.
Barcode Label Printers are specialty machines that print labels using either Thermal
technology or using resin/wax ribbons that create a long lasting image.
